INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

A live soccer match has been streamed over the Internet thanks to cooperation between the Danish Football Association, Denmark's Radio and Ebone, a broadband IP and optical networking company.

Ebone delivered the broadband access that was needed for multiple viewers to watch the match online simultaneously. According to the company the majority of users watching the match accessed the Internet via DSL or cable modem services at broadband speeds.

The match was broadcast live on Saturday, 10 November and featured a match between Denmark and the Netherlands. The final score was 1-1.
